Punk rock dating: chapter 76

Punk rock dating: chapter 76: The Last chapter...

The last one of these too:

From the glass-lined tanks of old Latrobe,
to the shores of Tripoli,
We fought our psychic battles,
in the hippocampic sea...

Sorry...those old war songs always tend to choke me up...

...ahem...

So here we are, our mission a complete success. Today we were able to inflict a deadly blow against the SCORPIO empire...

Marie and Julie decided to move into a small A-frame in the Altoona suburbs to build the family life they never had, but always longed for. I wish them luck.

I also have high hopes for Clement. He seems to have largely gotten over Marie after meeting Dorothy. These two lost souls have finally found comfort in each other's arms. I pray on April 8th, 2025, Clement finds the hungry noose as useless as a necktie...I also hope that one day Dorothy can forgive me for being absent when she really needed me...

Dr. Coorgan and I were able to round up the pieces of Professor Patina's iPod and repair them enough to back up his soul-files. Aside from a corrupted file in his "Frontal Lobe" playlist (which resulted in giving the Professor a slight stutter), we were able to transplant his consciousness into a new dignified, flat black MP3 player (he felt a tad effeminate in the carnation pink model).

As for me, once the Commissioner told the Libran of what I had accomplished, I received a full pardon and was reinstated as a full-time agent of LIBRA... But I can't talk now! I just received word that Escorpion has traveled back in time to 1978 to stop Freddie Perren and Dino Fekaris from writing "I Will Survive!"

A LIBRA agent's mission is never done...

So until next time, dear readers...

- Your old friend, Orion.

July 4th, 2013:

*Knock knock*

The door cautiously opens...

"Hello, Is this the residence of Marie Lansing and Julie Hales?"

"Marie's at a writer's seminar but this is Julie..."

"Ms. Hales, I have a package for you....Could you sign this please?"

"Sure."

Julie pulled a glittery pen from her pocket and scrawled her elaborate signature (a supernova of girly hearts and shooting stars...)

"Here ya go, ma'am..." The Deliveryman handed Julie a large cardboard box.

"Thank you." She closed the door...

She tore into the package and inside she read the note I had left her. It simply said "Enjoy."

Inside the box was a fresh copy of the "Saturday Night Fever" soundtrack I had brought back from the year 1977, and a box of Tarrington Menthol Lights....

"Fuckin' A," she nodded her head appreciatively...

The very end...

....until "Punk rock dating part 2: Emo Husbandry..."
